leftover friday

all around us everyones constant words and thoughts are: where am i going (trip, vacation) next? what am i going to buy next? the comforts of this world.
i'm just as guilty. but our thoughts should be what am i doing for the Lord? what am i doing next for the Lord?
people, this life is not about us. it never has been. do something for someone else. show some love. and not just a little, but be generous.
we serve Him by serving people.

we talk a lot about {what would Jesus do} in our house. and my pipigirl found my old {w.w.j.d.} bracelet that i used to wear in jr high and high school. and hasn't stop wearing it since.

i would love to have a do over with our 12 year anniversary and my birthday. pneumonia is the pits.

i did take the homegirls to run free and play outside. they have been cooped up far too long because of me.

and we managed to get some school in this week

homegirl quotes:

mira-"mommy, juno found poop in our room and she thought it was beef turkey."
{yes, you read that right. all the girls call beef jerky, beef turkey.}

juno (sitting in a chair)- "ah, back scratches, i like you."

juno- "i think i ate an ant because my belly is sick."

juno- "i need a kneenex, i have snoots after snoots."

juno- we need to really go, it's too scratchy in here."

as i sit here writing this, i'm watching the celebration of one of my giant and i's very favorite youth group sponsors. youth group holds a special place in our heart. we were honored to know him, he was one of the best.

 our greasy monkey has been working long long hours on this project for some friends who are coming back from being missionaries in africa.

soccer, trunk or treat and cheering on the huskers.
happy weekend.
