fun friday

i saw today that the blue canvas chair that i was given as a present (and has had some great years in high school as well as college) now is claimed by one of my students. he wrote his name. twice. and some doodles. first time in five years this type of ownership has taken place. it reminds me of the time someone told my brother that he couldn't sit in my dad's chair because it didn't have his name on it. low and behold his name appeared on the arm rest in sharpie. AARON. the chair had to be recovered. not even a half hour later, in between potty accidents, just after a lesson on harming and destroying property, a 1st grader took a crayon and drew lines all over my rug in the classroom. ahh. what happened today? no fun friday this friday.
