celebration and sadness

my grandpa waited for us.
he waited for his last taste of ice cream and his last celebration. his family surrounded him with comfort and he left in peace. to be 90 years old, with all your kids by your side {a few grandkids} singing, laughing and loving, who could ask for a better way to leave this world. he went in style.

my g-bud had an average of 192 and was the clean-up on his crew.

born and raised. nebraska blood.
this is how i always knew we were in humphrey. the beautiful steeple.
at 80 years old, my grandpa had a hole in one here.
he's to blame for all this golfing addiction in my family.
part owner
and the only place to grab a bite in town

his beloved farm.
and home to the sweetest corn.

to my mother.
who took care of him while he needed it most and gave him 6 extra years of life.
one great legacy.
for bringing us the big bag of skittles and cheetos. for cheering at every game he could. for saving his bingo winnings. for your rememberable one liners. and for the love of a grandpa.
we will miss you.

Tiff, I am so sorry to hear about your grandpa!

But what a glorious way to go home. And to celebrate his life. I am glad he waited!

Tiff, you did such a great job of capturing g-bud's last moments and the weekend of both heartache and celebration. Cheers to grandpa, he had a great life.
