san antonio take 1

our first stop was our hotel. the emily morgan. it was a beautiful old hotel in downtown. it used to be a hospital and is declared haunted {of course}. we requested a king, but they gave us a queen, that was actually a double. it was a tight squeeze for a giant and i. the room was very nice but rather small. i believe it's the one they save for priceliners like us.

the alamo was right across the street. definitely not the coolest thing. and a bit tinier than expected.

we debated and debated about going here. we took the dive.
waited almost two hours just to get into the park, but we conquered it.

the riverwalk.
although there was a slight breeze that helped us from sweating to death, a bath was still necessary.
last minute trip to the caves and caverns of san antonio and my first.
for just a short weekend, it felt like we were there much longer. i guess we did try to cram in as much as we could. i will have to post a whole other adventure of the food we ate. it deserves it. we had a great time. i just didn't know how packed san antonio would be with people. and i am now on a hiatus of people this week. we also decided that imogen will probably be our only child who will get to see sea world. that's just how it is.
so glad we finally made it down this way and it's what i had up my sleeve. happy birthday rob.
