friday friday

leftovers:

well, last weekend i feel like i finally turned the corner and am feeling back to myself. i'd say this week was much better than the last few. there was no locking myself in my room, no nightmares (from getting off ambien) and no fits of exhaustion.
we are still struggling to get back into the routine of school and cooking and laundry and things, but we're getting there.

after our house flooded (twice) the week of my surgery we have realized our carpet cannot be saved.

life can seem to come all at once, full of emotion and stress, but goodness we have it so good. and i am more thankful now than i've ever been.
we experienced love and support from people near and far. thank you is not enough for those who drove out of their way, made us a meal, sent us one, called us, mailed flowers and fruits, checked in and dropped off a gift card or snack. the blessing of others was sometimes more than i could handle, feeling though i didn't deserve it. i pray to return each of the blessings, for this life is not about us.

i completely forgot about mira's dance class this week. mom fail for sure. i kept apologizing to her and she said "mommy its ok, you don't need to say sorry anymore, i already forgot about it."
i can learn so much on the forgiveness of a child.

we finally made it back to a favorite stop of ours: the dairy farm, for some fresh eggs and raw milk. we go every few weeks and the homegirls love it!

what did you do this valentines day?

but most thanks goes to this guy {my giant}
he-loves on us the most, works the most and helps others the most.
this is him, fixing a friends wrecked truck on his only day off.

happy weekend!
