you guys, this is so very huge. after months and months of trying to get her to even write the letter J, this week she sat down by herself and wrote her whole name. with no help!
while the littles were in preschool, i brought my own coffee to a coffee shop and she worked on her journal, reading and math before joining friends at a park.
the sun finally came out and we've been hitting the bike trail.
after over 2 1/2 years of praying...
a new friend has walked into my life. she has three girls the same ages as our homegirls
+ she homeschools them too.
+ they are believers
+ they are in our cc group
+ she has a giant too
+they only drive toyotas
they had us over for dinner the other night and even our giants had an awesome time hanging out, got along well and as my giant said "i had one of the best conversations i've ever had."
and as her giant said "i felt like i was talking to an old friend."
so thankful to our Lord for these new faces and excited to see each of our relationships grow.
with the weather being so nice, i took the homegirls on an adventure today.
and went hiking at the lewisville lake environmental learning area or the llela.
we hiked two trails and ate in-between.
our giant just excepted to lead a team for their quick service tomorrow at work to make some extra money and the girls and i will be heading to their preschool carnival. it's supposed to rain on sunday, so after church i'm not sure we'll get any outdoor time, but looking forward to a day with daddy :)
happy weekend.
and the best quote of this week:
mira - "where do beards come from?"
