leftovers

so far this summer, this is the homegirls uniform.

this week, we've had our homeschool conference all day long. in the heart of dallas.
so much good info
but we are sooo exhausted!
and juno puked all over the playground the last day so we had to leave early. why does there always have to be a kid that pukes?

homegirl quotes:
juno- "i'm bigger than i thought i was."

mira- "is there a thing that is white broccoli?"
me- "it's called cauliflower."
imy- "well, i'm calling it white flower."

imy- "sometimes i believe that we are the only ones in the world who don't have a puppy or pet of anything."

me- "juno go get dressed and take your jammies off."
juno- "nope, no tank you mommy, i'm good today."

our giant has been working late every night and i really really miss him. he is currently working on another missionary family's car. he will be working late tonight and tomorrow night. we know Kingdom work is what we're called for, but i still miss him.

anyone else ever ruin all their kiddos hopes and dreams in the matter of minutes?
i did today.
after begging and begging and a big mess, i threw all the nail polish in the trash.
because i HATE painting nails and nail polish and nail polish remover.
they cried for over 20 minutes and i'm sure they will remember this forever and ever.
i am the worst.
and while they cried about it, i cracked open a beer. at noon.
mira said "i never want to see someone with painted nails again."
if you're reading this, please have some grace and send me some nail painting help.

i searched and searched for a camp or sport the homegirls wanted to try this summer. they all voted for volleyball and i found a program for 3 1/2-8 year olds. plus they let me put juno in it for free. they were the cutest learning the fundamentals of this game and i wish you could have seen their bear crawls across the gym.

our family twins {the ones who have three girls all the same ages and only drive toyotas, homeschool, believers, also live in a 3 bedroom home and enjoy really good music} took us to a josh garrels concert.

jeff and tiffany got to come too!

imogen is off celebrating lyla's birthday {her family twin} and we are looking forward to not driving in dallas traffic and being home and catching up on all the things.

happy weekend!

also, one more favorite pic from nanandpapa's house
taken by my sis in law emily:
