if i go, i'm goin north

our summer road trip is coming to an end. we are still pit stopped at nanandpapas house.
we needed a couple of extra days than expected to catch up on rest.
we had so much fun as a family visiting so many friends and family.
the weather was so perfect and i can't bring myself to want to head back to the 115 degree heat of tx!

here's a little recap of #ifigoimgoinnorth

the first leg: juno and i to nebraska to pick up the big girls from nanaandpapashouse

mat dancing

they found some of daddy's boxers and decided to dance in them :)

special time with papa

found them together in bed sleeping {they weren't supposed to be}

second leg: nebraska-idaho

wyoming, you always get a bad rap, but i enjoy driving through you

 pit stop at the great salt lake

well, we can say we have been here. it was so full of bugs. we were kinda grossed out and probably won't be back.

we stopped for some delicious huckleberry ice cream in ogden, ut

after 16+ hours {solo}, we made it to boise, id

and to my friend danielle's house. we met 14 years ago on a mission trip to detroit, mi

they had so much fun getting to know her daughter who was also 5. mira and her connected right away.

we picked daddy up at the airport and
we had the chance to stay with his cousin {who also lives in boise}. he hadn't seen her in almost 20 years and it was great getting to reconnecting/meeting her and her sweet family. it was definitely one of the best parts of our trip.

picking fresh raspberries from their garden

they enjoyed getting to meet their cousin grace.

happy 4th of july!
{he's been rocking this outfit for 10+ years}
 third leg: idaho-washington

our besties!

fourth leg: yakima, wa- spokane, wa
