leftover friday

mira- "i don't know, i lost my mind. i can't think when i live here."

imogen- "i found out that z is not a popular letter."

mira- "what is a pony?"
imogen- "it's like a baby horse but older."
mira- "oh, i thought it was the horse's middle name."

mira- "daddy, you sound like a boy. and you really are a boy."

rob- "mira you want an apple?'
mira- "no i want a lime."
rob- "we only have an apple."

juno- "can someone please get me a walking chair. i smashed my leg and they don't work anymore."
she has been asking for a walking chair (wheel chair) all week.

tomorrow we leave to give away our van. i am reminded all over again that what is ours really isn't. people, it's ok to let go, it's what we're called to do.

because my giant had been working on this van getting it ready, i've been driving what we had been letting a missionary family borrow and they aren't in need of it anymore. i got asked if this is my upgrade. ha. i mean come on, i will drive anything my giant has for me to drive and i'm so thankful for that. but if you mean going from an 2011 sienna to a 90's something suv. ha.

it's just crazy to me the mindset of people, thinking we were giving our van away so we could get an upgrade. no, that's not how this works and that is not how our hearts work.

this week mira's bff from our {carbon copy} family wanted to celebrate her birthday with a date just with her "mirabella"(she has always called her that)

penny, is spirited, spunky, quirky and a little bit crazy just like our mira.

mira knew exactly what she wanted to get penny for her birthday, a fancy purse, wallet, gum, chapstick, and a bff necklace."

this week has been busy with homeschool, cc, playdates and getting everything ready to head to nebraska. we haven't seen our giant much and he is using the very last of his vacation days {until almost march} but this time back home will all be worth it.
