leftover friday

i have so much to say, but no words to express it. we did a lot of hard things in nebraska last week and i still can't comprehend it.

we felt led to be there the entire week to serve and love.

 i'm so grateful for our time there. we dropped everything. my giant's best friend needed him and we wouldn't have it any other way.

i wept for almost 11 straight hours as my giant drove us back to texas. i was reading through her texts and i just needed to hear her. we have struggled this week and i know if i'm struggling her hubby dave is struggling 100 times more. 

my heart didn't want to go to our cc community day, but i know dawn wouldn't want me to miss, so i put on her sweater and went.

dawn often ended our conversations with "i miss you every day."

and it will always ring true. i will miss her every day.
